A real case from September 2026
A “farmhouse in Rome” that never existed
A family almost booked a €279 apartment for five near Roma Termini. Our investigation found the photos belonged to a €300-per-night suite on Via del Corso, the reviews to a countryside guesthouse 400 km away, and the license number to a different region entirely. Guests who did book were pushed to pay through an external link.
